For many aspects, I myself could be the ideal person!!!
While my english is vastly imperfect, my italian is good indeed
(I went to a specific school, and proved to be one
of the most capable when translatin' things TO italian..)
The only problem is... I want to PLAY the mod!!!!!! :D :D

hmm maybe after that...
But I see your point! :)
I may try to contact the people who translated Torment.
The games are close, and the amount of dialogs of the mod will
be surely not as much as the WHOLE Torment...

Edit: oh, BTW, I'd have trouble with colloquial or dialectal forms...

english is not my first language, but i now think in english, cause i am incapable of thinking or learning another language, including my native one, korean, so i always have this "cool, wish i could do that" with bilingual people...

If you wish to embrace her at Spellhold, whisper into her ear with a familiar voice that everything will be alright, then slip your knife into her belly revelling in the look of surprise and pain on her face, then you're welcome to try

Now this is truly a mod that will deserve the title Masterpeice. Can we make a necklace out of her ears or something? I need to get Viconia something special. :D

Off Topic: on translation

@Littiz --

The most important issue in translating work is a good understanding of the source language and in-dept knowledge (near perfection) of the target language. That's what makes a decent if not a good translator.
Edit: oh, BTW, I'd have trouble with colloquial or dialectal forms...
You'll need a book of colloquial words and phrases or a good encyclopedic dictionary (Oxford Encyclopedic Dictionary or, Webster's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary). You can search in a library. If you can't find them, there are many links for translators (like instant translating engines) on the net. I could help you with such issues.

Dialects: if there is no equivalent in the target language, they usually are lost in the translation.

Go, Littiz! Go! :)

Cheers

As they said though, they wish to play it. When you want to play a mod, it's never a good idea to translate it, nor beta test it.

What happened?

Has been, more or less, randomly browsing the forum and found several threads concerning this Imoen Relationship mod, which struck me as a great improvement to the glorious BGII.
But I can't help wondering: Does anyone know what happened? Was it released? Where can I find it? Where has Quitch gone into hiding?

Help?

Quitch was, besides working on this mod, busy with another project called Return to Windspear, which can be found at Spellhold Studios. If you're looking for the Imoen Relationship mod itself, you can go here.

If I recall correctly, Quitch used to say she wouldn't continue with Imoen until her RtW mod was finished. Seeing as the latter hasn't seen much progress either, I'm afraid the former has been abandoned. If it's forever I dare not say, but I'm not keeping my hopes up.

Quitch hasn't been working on Return to Windspear due to other priorities. Quitch will try to finish Return to Windspear before returning to work on the Imoen relationship mod (if ever). All of this is explained in the forums at Spellhold studios.

For example, in May 2006, Quitch wrote:

"It is still my intention to finish this mod, but at the moment I am working for Planewalker Games on their first title, The Broken Hour Glass. Once that is done I will need to finish Return to Windspear, a project long overdue.

"Then, and only then will I return to the Imoen Relationship mod. If I feel I can still complete this project I will do so. I don't make any promises because it'll depend on my mood and whether I feel I can give this the time it needs, but we will have to see."

To which Quitch might add, "Perfection has no deadline."

By the way, is Quitch male or female?

After reading my own message, in which I somehow automatically assumed Quitch was female, I began to wonder the same.

I think I was wrong, though. (where's that chin rub smiley when you need one)

Edit: for the love of God, I just noticed my former self in this thread. Scary, that.

Question answered

Right. Thanks for the quick answers.
I've understood that RtW has priority over the Imoen mod, from reading this forum. But none of Quitch's old links worked (in retrospect I guess I could've searched for RtW outside of Gamebanshee and the aformentioned links. But noone is perfect. Right? *Grins*

By the way, I've always thought of Q as female. Strange that, now that you mention it.

Oh, and Sytze, who were you earlier? Curious, as always.

Spellhold Studios went through quite a lot of changes the last few years, so it's no wonder you couldn't find the correct links anymore. Frankly, when I looked at the site yesterday, it had gone through a total overhaul from the last time I visited it and for a while I couldn't find my way around either. Ah well, progression. :)

Oh, and I was the archer guy who couldn't properly spell "question" and "answer".

Funny times.

Well, I guess I'll just have to do what Littiz said he would: I will wait patiently.

And concerning being the archer: Well, we're all children in the beginning. At least that's what we say in Sweden (in swedish, of course).
