Tracking Influence

Post by The Thrasson »

I'm a new member to the forums. I've been delving into the great info here for quite a while. I just want to thank everyone for all their help, even though they didn't know they helped me.

How do you track the influence you have with your companions? Where do you look to find this info? Thanks.

If you're playing MOTB, then it's shown in the character panel. If you're playing the original game, then you can only check it via the console using the

rs kr_influence

command.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

There is another, more troublesome way to track your companion's influence without using the console. You can see all the influence you have accumulated with them through the globals.xml document in your current save game file. The reason I say troublesome is because that document is ridiculously long and it can be hard to locate the influence you have over some companions which are obtained later in the game.
