Hello everybody!
I have a problem in Five flagons inn.First, I must say that my class is Barbarian, alignment Chaotic evil.I rescued Haer'dalis and returned the stone to Raelis Shai and I took as much money from her as possible during conversation. Then she opened the portal, bounty hunters came and when one of them asks me on which side I am, I answered I have nothing to do with Raelis Shai, so they all together vanisehd in a portal.
After that Samuel comes and offers me to run the playhouse and then Higgold comes and so on...after 3 days Meck comes and tells me that Higgold wants to speak with me at the playhouse. But he isn't there!I don't find him anywhere!
Is this a bug or sth. because I didn't enter Astral prison and freed Haer'dalis?I was very surprised that I even had the opportunity to run playhouse because I'm not a bard?
Any help is welcome,
thank you

First of all, welcome to the boards!
Regarding your problem, this does indeed sound weird. First off, what kind of mods do you play with?
In order to get the playhouse as a barbarian, you must be playing with the all stronghold mod. Otherwise I have zero clue why you got the bard stronghold.
As for Higgold, I only played the bard stronghold once, which was years ago, so cannot remember in detail, however, I assume you have searched the whole place?
Do you perchance have a saved game prior talking to Realis Shai? If so, I would advise trying reloading that game and do the Atral Prison to see if you then get the stronghold again...
Perhaps some of the more technical oriented guys can help you with looking up some files as to whether the game checks for certain flags regarding Higgold's appearance.

Unforuntately I don't have saved games before talking to Raelis, but I think I'll start the game once again with Barbarian and enter Astral prison as you suggest.
As for mods...I don't play with any of them, I have original game and I've never used mods.I've checked it in Umar Hills case, after I killed the Shade Lord, Mayor didn't offer me Merella's cabin.
To be more specific, it happened like that after portal closed...Samuel Thunderburp came and asked me what's going on in here.I answered "What's your concern about this, halfing?" and he answered that it's his concern because he's an owner and he wants to know what happenede to Ralies. After that only 2 options to answer were availabe for me:1)I could say that Raelis gave me the playhouse. (that's what I did).2)I could say Raelis gave me the playhouse but I don't have time to run it.
And another info...although I can't enter the portal, the blue-white light still lurks there so it looks opened, but if I move mouse pointer to the light (portal entrance), I can't enter it.You can see this on the pic below.

That seems even more wierd...from the screenshot it looks as though the portal is open, as you say.
Anyway, I don't think it's necessary to start all over again because of this. In all honesty, the playhouse isn't that big of a deal, and neither is the Astral Prison.
You do get a nice item there, but as you solo (I only see 1 character, so assume you solo), it doesn't matter, as you can get the same item at the Asylum. (if you want spoilers as to what item I refer to, you can check the resource pages; there's a walkthrough).
Seeing as how you've already done Umar Hills, seems bit of a waste to start all over due to a small quest like this. Further to this point, since you are evil and obviously roleplaying it that way, there are many quests which you will either miss or have a different outcome from, wherefore my suggestion is to simply march on and then when you're done, play the whole thing again as a good aligned person!

Welcome to GameBanshee
Silvanerian is right, no sense in starting again for that, since you probably will like a new game with a different character more. As to the playhouse, it can be pretty buggy, with either the actors vanishing, the messanger not coming or whatever. I wonder if this is such a new thing to us because no-one ever tried not to help Raelis...

It seems as if you are now the owner of the playhouse, but the game did forget to change the teleporters of the maps. If you descend the stairs in the Five Flagons Inn, the game transports you to the old playhouse area, but Higgold waits in the new area. So no chance that you can actually run your theatre, but, being a Barbarian, you probably wouldn't have been interested anyway.
Best,
Lark

Thanks everybody for welcome and for your help.I just want to say that I've already played BG II over and over many times, so I know how does Astral Prison look like and what is the story but this is first time that I play Chaotic evil character and it was also first time that I didn't help Raelis.
Otherwise, I agree, the game is much interesting playing with a good-aligned character, I originally finished the game with Lawful good fighter.
After I finish the game this time, I'll try for fun starting the game again with non-bard class and I'll do the same - I won't help Raelis and we'll see what's going to happen.

Here are two new investigations.I started new game, class = Fighter, alignment = CE.First, after I rescued Haer'dalis and brought the stone to Raelis, I saved the game. Then I tried two ways:
1)I was interested what happens if I push the price of a gem to maximum and then still decide not to give the gem to Raelis - in that case they attacked me. Samuel doesn't appear after the fight is over.
2)Secondly, I again agreed to help Raelis with the portal, took my money and then betrayed them to bounty hunters.Again Samuel came and offered me playhouse. But listen now...after 3 days Higgold IS in the inn, standing in front of the stage. He introduced me all actors and I'm now an evil fighter that is proud owner of a playhouse:mischief:
