I just had an incredibly fun time wasting a few hours with a solo Archer. Man, I've been looking for a way to spice up my games and this is definitely it!

Solo wizard is a *horror* at start in BG1. Sure you can do it, but it involves loading games and lots of resting + pain. I was under the impression an elf fighter specialising in bows had an easy time though.
Sage plays a paladin,
because other classes would be frowned upon for laying their hands on a wounded companion

True, until I had invisibility it was pretty rough. I spent 20 minutes kiting a single Gibberling with a sling once because I simply kept missing.AvatarOfLight wrote:Solo wizard is a *horror* at start in BG1. Ugh mages suck even at the 161k cap in BG1. A sorceror could solo Tutu I guess provided the 161k cap was removed. It gets easier as once you get spider spawn.
As for the Ranger, he must be very hard to solo later on. He is after all a fighter with no arcane power to speak of. Any solo melee based class will have a difficult time. ANY class is soloable though even a beast master
