quest help (The Elven Maiden)

i nead help with a quest? (The Elven Maiden) I have done everything and i have got tothe part were i have to tell windbag Lex where to find it. everytime I tell hem he just tells me "You credibility is suspect. You'll have to do better then that to peresuade me." Plz help me.

I don't recall this specific quest, but it sounds like you may have to use your speechcraft skill to make him like you more before he'll believe. Just select the option from your conversation window. If your skill is too low or you have problems understand the minigame you can bribe him some gold as well.

Ok when you open the chat section Do you know were you can buy/sell thing (Barter).next to it their is a box that says Persuade click that.
You then have a spinnin compass like thing. You can bribe or play the mini game.
How to play Persuade mini-game

In the middle of the compass like thing their is a number.
You can bribe them by giving them say 75gp for 5bonus.
Or you can do it properly.
Choose each of the 4 sections
But normally only 2 will work for them
so try and get it to be biggest radar when its them.

There's a detailed description of the Persuasion mini-game in PapaGamers's FAQ at GameFAQs: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC) FAQ/Walkthrough by PapaGamer . For the quest, you need to have a disposition with Lex of at least 70.
