Need Help To Get Marked!!!!

Restarted the game from the beggining 'cause I get to the tower on the island in the lake, kill the banshee, climb the ladder only to get to the top and hit the invisable cieling. My character is an Urgoth, I'm playing CE. When I get to the top of the ladder he just keeps climbing but won't go over floor level at the top. I looked in the threads and found a post from someone suggesting going out, creating a new character, starting a LAN game, and doing ten other crazy steps to overcome this *I think*. There has to be an easier way. I'm a total newbie and not real computer savvy so keep it simple (if thats possible). Thanks in advance.

There are two easy solutions: 1) Start a new game where you're not an urgoth, or 2) Skip the elven outpost and circle around to the north.

If you want to play an urgoth and visit the outpost, then you're stuck either using the editor or doing the LAN thing. Both of these solutions are linked to in the sticky thread on the subject.
