camera problems

Post by Toromos »

Hi gang,

After reading some threads on the camera in this game I'm still not getting the settings I want. Is there anyway to set the game so that character and camera movement perform the way it does in the KOTOR games? Or even anything close to that. I played the first NWN with the top down perspective, and will do it again if needed, but I'm hoping I can set up the camera to behave more like KOTOR.

I have tried the drive cam, and some of the edge settings, but the closest I can get it to work is to have the over the shoulder perspective, but still needing to click to get the characters to move.

Any help would be appreciated.

Toromos.

Have you patched your game? I'm pretty sure the latest patch includes the two camera modes from MOTB.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have the 1.11 patch installed. Do you mean the character v. strategy mode? I would like to retain the character mode, but be able to move the characters around by just using w to move forward, and then rotating the camera around to guide the direction of the character, like in kotor.

Instead, when I rotate the camera around, the character moves the way he's facing, regardless of which way the camera is pointed. I have to keep clicking on the ground to guide him in the proper direction.

Thanks,

Toromos

I would also like to know if you can get the movement to behave like KotOR. It would really help me to enjoy the game more.
