help! can't finish the quest!

i already killed the warden in the peninsula district prison, but i didn't complete the quest yet. it didn't even update. what am i supposed to do? after i killed the warden, i got a halberd and a block of wood. what am i supposed to do with them? tnx. sorry if i spoiled some.

The warden is not the final fight on that level.
And when you finish the fighting, look around and check all the chests and boxes.

bummer. i 've opened every box, chest and crate there is but still can't find the one you said i should find. would you be so kind to specify which box i should open? i'm still lost man but i appreciate the tip. ^_^

Back of the Room, on the left hand side.

However, that which you seek is in the remains of the Intelect Devourer. Which can only be killed after the Warden and any guards you didn't manage to persuade to leave are dead.

check your inventory. if you have the brains, then you can leave back to the chapel of Tyr(or whatever it is)

waaaaaaah! i guess my game was bugged. i've already persuaded the soldiers to leave and killed the warden but the intellect devourer didn't came out. i tried killing the warden first, but the soldiers were still unaffected. i tried force attacking the soldiers but it was no use. >_<

Sorry, but from what you have posted, the only option left now is to start from an earlier save.
You should do fine on your next run through. Now you know what to expect and how to fight or persuade your way thru.
