So, there're weapons and there're spells. Weapon may have a number with a sign in brackets near the basic damage amount. What does it mean?
A spell may have alignment related number - how does one has to treat that?
TIA
What do those + and - mean?

Alrighty, first off the bracketed numbers for weapons and armor indicate how much of a change in damage or armor your character will have if you were to equip those things. The same system is in place for Attractiveness and Scariness as well when browsing for tattoos and hairstyles.
The positive and negative numbers when learning new spells indicate the learning bonus or penalty based on your alignment. For example, Heal Life is geared towards those who are good and for them will cost less experience to buy, while Berserk is geared towards evil. In these cases, the highest level of those spells is even off limits to those of the wrong alignment.
