Neeshka Speculation (possible spoiler)

Post by Ur_Vile_Wedge »

I was replaying NWN2, and when I got to Ammon Jerro's haven, I noticed something. When I was talking to Baalbisan, the misogynistic Balor, I had Neeshka along this time. Now, I had always assumed Neeshka's infernal parent was a chaotic demon, since she's chaotic herself, but Baalbisan claimed to smeel Baatezu stink off of her.

So Neeshka has a devil parent. (and I think we can believe the balor here.) Combined with some of the other comments he makes, does anyone else think that Mephasm is Neeshka's demon parent?

My apologies if someone else brought this up before, but I couldn't find anything in an admittedly cursory search.

Maybe Not her parent, but.....
Yes, I noticed that as well and there are other clues that seem to indicate Mephasm is part of her family tree.
I think, and I reserve the right to be wrong here, that he may be Neeshka's grandfather.
Be sure to speak with him later in the game as well. ;)

Grandfather? Parent?

That's unlikely, though possible. Becouse a tiefling's fiend blood usually is kind of far, 3 generations or more. Closer ones are half-fiends.

Although due to other comments in game, we understand she has a strong blood in her, whether this is due to being a closer generation to a true demon or becouse of a powerful demon ancestor, is unknown.

Well, that is, due to my knowledge (planes) ;)

I think themaelstrom pretty much hit the nail on the head as far as common planetouched geneology.

Oh, and for the record, Ur_Vile_Fiend, Demons and Devils are generally known as fiends (just to reduce confusion to some people).

A little thing to add, tieflings usually tend to be chaotic becouse of evil taint, even a little insane. Well... at least I think this is how it's supposed to be, but after they added all these aasimars, fey'ri, genasi, <insert outsider-descendant race here> this may have become absolete. (Now I know I mispelled that >_<)

Tieflings don't tend to be chaotic. Rather, people view them to be bad and dangerous because of their demonic heritage. Still, as Neeshka proves, tieflings can be good deep down inside too.

I think it was something I read from 2E times, I'm not even sure..
I just had liked the idea that the demon blood drove mortals crazy, but I didn't know much about D&D then, so I prolly misunderstood =)

And, Neeshka is my favorite tiefling ever. Plus I want to marry the person who vocalized her.

Posts deleted - please can we keep this thread on topic (i.e. discussing Neeshka's parentage etc.).

Thanks :)

In one of the initial conversations you have with her, she says something about her grandfather coming up for the "nightlife". So that leads me to believe that he is a vampire of some sort. And Mephasm isn't a vamp.

I always thought she meant her grandfather was coming up to get laid. :p
So yeah, I believe that Mephasm knows Neeshka, at least.

That's what vamps do isn't it? Suck blood and get laid. Or the other way around...

Back on topic, while Mephasm might be related to Neeshka, I don't think he is a close relative. Maybe an a great-great grand uncle/father. He never really ststed anything which might suggest closer ties. :)
