After dualling Wiz Slayer to Thief

Hello people,
I am a new member here and ...wow love this place.
I just dualled my wiz slayer to thief after level 15 (had I read through the forum threads earlier, would have gone with Kensai thief) and am soloing SOA through TOB.

I am not able to use any rings and potions after dualling to thief. Is this normal? I mean, the game should treat me as a pure thief until I regain my wiz slayer class, shouldnt it? I am not able to backstab as i cant use the potion of invisibility (and I hate to hide in shadows).

i did search through the forum, but could not find any info on this. I am playing the "vanilla" game and havent starting using the mods yet.

Old restrictions apply to some extent. Cleric>Fighter's can't use bladed weapons, Shapeshifter>other class's can't wear armour, etc.

Once you gained 3,080,000 XP as thief you can choose the UAI HLA which will allow you to use all those items.

Seriously though, WS>Thief is an awesome combo w/ UAI.

thats true he is really strong, and there is also a mod which even improves the Wiz slayer so he is really getting interesint especially if you dual him into thief or mage

the mod give him an 8%base and +4% magic resistant / level
instead of 1
