What is your favorite planet?

Post by rearviewmirror »

Ok this is like a poll. What is your favorite planet from either KotOR games? Please explain why it is. It can be any planet at all, whatever you liked.

My favorite planet was Nar Shaddaa from KotOR II. It's because there were alot of characters, NPC's, some good Swoop racing, and the best Pazaak. Oh and the action was fun too. There were at least a couple of puzzles, allowing for some brain cells to be stimulated, and mostly it was fun to just go around and talk to people in the technological paradise. In close second is that planet right near the mandalorian one. That one had such great RPG-fun stuff. Lots of people.

I like Kashyykk. It was good to see Chewie's home world. Also it had some interesting NPCs and was a good story. The enemies wern't too hard. Freyer and the Mandalorians were OK. I liked the side quest for the Ghedorians asasins where the changling gives you the runaround. It also seemed like a filled out world.

Yeah, I liked Korriban the best, I think - I liked the grandeur of the valley of the sith lords in the first, and the ruined academy in the second.

I think I would have liked Onderan more if it was all in one cell rather than two, especially with the quest that means you have to keep hopping between them.

My favourite planet is Mannan (no sure I spelled it correctly) from KotOR I. Mainly because of the ocean view. It made a nice desktop background. ;) Of course there are other reasones:
- A few challenging puzzles - The (almost) completely peacefull enviroment - And some interesting sidequests (Sunry's Trial for example) -
  :p ;) :D :o :( :)

korriban

my fav. planet has to be korriban on both games because i love the dark side people (the 2 alien sith masters in kotor1) and the grandeur of the valley of dark lords - as someone said above. i like it better on the first game because your char. doesnt park his ship in the middle of it. i also love dreashda and the sith hopefuls. i love the exploration of the tombs, too. the last tomb is hard, but fun. :o :)

i actually hated malachor v, da music sounded too creepy to be star wars and i hated those storm beasts. tatooine in kotor 1 had too much walking. Korriban was nice, always mysterious and everything....kashyyk was good cuz wookiees are cool. Dantooine wouldnt be so bad if there werent so many kath hounds..

You should choose Dxun because you are training there. Korriban is a wasteland and so is Malachor V. :p

In the first game, it was definitely Manaan. It was beautiful and there was a lot of depth and sidequests in the setting. In the second game, Nar Shaddaa. It contained several interesting NPCs, had an interesting plot development, and felt like a "Smuggler's Moon" should.

Yeah, I like nar Shaddaa too. It was the first planet I went to (except Peragus and Telos, of course) on the first time I played KotOR II (which, by the way, I played before playing KotOR), so it kind of gives me the feeling of "where everything began".

It should be a lot filthier, though.

Overall, KOTOR1 Korriban. Partly because I'm Sith, but also because it includes a good variety of quests and events, with a good variety of outcomes, some nice puzzles and roleplay. Also, unusually for KOTOR1, it's fairly compact; there's none of the endless running from A to B which characterises some planets, notably Tatooine and Kashyyyk.

In KOTOR2, strangely, I like Peragus best. It's a genuine challenge (later in the game things get way easier) and it takes genuine care and attention to get to level 8 before boarding the Hawk.

As for worst planet: Malachor V, hands down. Did they remember this was a ROLE playing game, not a shoot-em up?

My favorite in KotOR I was Korriban because of the tombs and puzzles. In KotOR II it's Dantooine because of the crystal cave, the multiple influence opportunities and last but not least, if you're playing darkside, Master Vrook was actually challenging, unlike all the others.

My favorite planet is Korriban,(on kotor 1 and 2) It just feels epic walking there.
And I REALLY, REALLY HATE Manaan, it's got almost no fighting, no fun quests, getting the star map was really irritating, but easy.
I also hated it because you can't just say to a questgiver ''now I'll just have to kill you'' or something like that.(what is always fun to do)

In KotOR, my favorite planet is Korriban. In KotOR II, it's tossup between Onderon and Dantooine.
