Oh, this Summon!

Post by Loredweller »

Well, you know, there's the spell.
And you may know there's an undead doing just this - summoning. Summoner, i believe, the class name is.
Now, my summoned Bandit killed such thing, and now a Summoner comes on call. It'd be OK, but it does what it does: it summons. Now, what do you think, what color i see the things it summons? :mischief: Red, of course ... :speech:

Its impossible to get a summoner as your own summon... unless you use a mod to change your summon.

And summoners dont actualty summon anything.. Ive never seen it summon anything... ive read it will never summon... Ive tested it by just waichting and healing myself.. they dont summon..

id like to know how you did this.

It does what i said!

No mods, no trainers, no hacks - plain TCL as it stands. First time i experience this, though. I did have a Balverine last game, nonetheless it's first occasion I have a Summoner. Never heard about such either, it's why i wrote. I got that at the LG house while farming Undead, there're quite a bit of them. I had a Bandit until that (strong one whith crossbow from Greatwood Lake between SW bridge and the SW stairs)... Cannot say i'm happy with this acquisition - not that i had a great need for experience now, and those minions do not offer much either. Nonetheless, just from the field, fought a Troll in the Greatwood Caves region - and had to finish about a half of dozen minions after that :( The Summoner tried to be helpfull and added few more in meantime :D . Not that it was hard, just nuisance :o

I haven't found the full catalogue of creatures yet; even do not know if there's any. So i may use wrong names.
The creature discussed is large, carries a sword and an axe and summons smaller creatures. It's obviously stronger than a single Balverine, at least than one at the exit to Barrow Fields or that one the unluckily merchant turns into (since i let the creature to kill them alone and they didn't replace my summoned being). If summoned nearby the adversary it goes melee; the summoning starts if it's too far to join the fight at once (it's very slow after all, though may be summoned not waiting until disappeared and so be brought to the right place- in difference to swords)

Now, the question is how to get rid of it. It's a nice exp source if you need it, altogether it's just a nuisance if you don't. I'd like a Balverine (had one in other game), but so far (in this game) both Balverines i let the General to kill were obviously weaker... Hope, Twinblade's Elite might help.

You don't need to reach the Nothern Wastes for a stronger creature. The Minions that you'll encounter later on will also do just fine.

True, but the only place they naturaly spawn are the Northen Wastes.

What reminds me....
Why are minion dreadwings the best summon? isnt the other minion (the one with the double sword) way better as summon? :P

I dont get that lol..

No bosses. Not even every creature (not a Summoner, or so i'm told). My personal highest so far was a White Balverine; i stopped to bother after it.

P.S. Avoid having an Undead General (see above) - more problems than gain.
