after the attack on duncan's inn at end of act 1, elanee disappeared.
i cannot find her anymore, maybe she was left behind somewhere, where i
cannot go anymore, or whatever...

I had a problem where Casavir magically disappeared last time I played the campaign. It supposebly was caused by a bug having to do with summoned familars or something. Anyways here is what I did to fix it although I'm not sure if it will work with you. It is worth a try though.
Start a new game and save immediately. Now exit out of NWN2 and go to C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\Saves. From there go into the folder of the saved game you just created. Inside you should see a file called "ROS-elanee.ros". Copy it and paste it into the folder of your original saved game and start up NWN2. If it worked, Elanee should be standing in her usual spot in the sunken flagon.

There's nothing in the way I walk that could tell you where I'm going. There's nothing in the words I speak that can betray anything I'm knowing.
turn off the character abilities of characters that can summon familiars. (or if you really want to use them then unsummon them before traveling between locations)

Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
