Dungeon storylines? (SPOILERS)

Post by bmusic721 »

Everybody knows Vilverin right? The ayleid ruin outside the Imperial City, the first one in the game I found. When you enter the first 2 levels have bandits and 1 bandit Ringleader. The next 2 levels are filled with various undead and also a named (necromancer?) Jalberd. In any case, there are scrolls around the ruin like "There were bandits that moved in downstairs, the Khajiit smells terrible." "Yesterday (some named bandit idk) figured out how to use her bow and arrow to shoot down the big blue stones (Welkynd stones)" And when you enter Jalberd's room there is some link to him and the captain of the guard of the Imperial city on a scroll.

So what I am wondering is: are there any more dungeons anyone else has seen with separate "storylines"?

There could be scrolls on a table or notes received off corpses. I just think that dungeon storylines are really awesome and intriguing

1) Please use the edit function to combine posts like that.

2) Please put a SPOILER tag in a thread title such as this one, just as it says in the sticky thread at the top of the page. I'll change this one for you. If you forget in the future, your threads may surprisingly disappear.

There are quite a few caves, ruins and other locations that contain clues or interesting items that will start mini-quests that aren't related to the main quest or any of the guilds. As far as subtle, self-contained details that don't update your quest log, like the notes that explain what's going on in Vilverin, there aren't as many of those. In the Shivering Isles, some clues you can find in the ruin Ebrocca are similar (but cooler and more complex). Another couple favorites of mine are an easter egg under the bridge near the mouth of the Panther river, and in the wilderness around Fort Coldcorn (get a note and key from a chest concealed outside the entrance).
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

Yeah, and his note gets me everytime. Other easter eggs include a giant mud crab and a crazily hardy rat.

OMG, first Modryn had a dialog option that casually mentioned he was getting "pretty good" at painting so I went over to take a look, and I was already giggling when I realized it was a picture of us interrogating the Blackwood mage... I literally thought I was going to pull a muscle

I'd like to add another dungeon to the list.

I found Fort Coldcorn and I was exploring near Cheydinhal when I came upon a cave named Lost Boy Cavern. The door layed in a heavily dense forest area with a tunnel of forestry leading to it. It is about a lich transformation (I wont give away too much) and filled with undead and necromancers. There are at least five documents throughout the cavern and a "boss battle" at the end. He was easy for me: I one-hit him with a daedric longsword. He has some good items with him and could be tough at lower levels.

Anyway hope to find tons more!

Ok just for anyone who wondered the Cavern is South of Cheydinhal near a lake that begins with a C? (I think)

Also I was wondering since the cave and the scrolls having to do with the "storyline" are related to the Mages Guild, is this a guild quest because the Mages Guild is the only guild questline I haven't completed

(or started for that matter):mischief:
