So what REAL guns do you all enjoy shooting?
As you can tell, I like guns that governments constantly try to ban (which since the 1960s means almost every gun), and guns that mommy government doesn't think we can be trusted with (which again, is effectively every gun).
I like "MAC" style of pistols the most for a variety of reasons (they're fairly affordable, made from a simple design, and tough as hell).
So what are YOUR favorite real guns to shoot, carry, and accessorize?

Post removed. This isn't a thread to express the benefits of gun control. It was created only to mention the guns those people enjoy, who use them.
This also goes for the person who started the thread. If you intend it simply for what you state, then drop the digs at governments or people who do advocate gun control. If you want to use it as an occasional platform to attack gun control, this thread will be closed, and you'll be directed to the gun control discussion we already have.

Some of the guns mentioned sound pricey. Please include how much you spent on your toy (including accessories).
Since one commenter is from New Zealand, I'm curious if you were able to get it from a store (I have no idea what is available in NZ).
Pics of course, are highly encouraged.

Sent you a PM on that, Sinister. Sorry for the delay.
To all: again, the thread's defined by the title: the gun makes and models you enjoy, the clipon devices, etc. Let's keep to that.
And once more, no criticisms of gun ownership, please.

OOOOOOkay. For handguns both me and my wife prefers "Para Ordnance" P14-45 Self-loading Pistol Para Ordnance .45ACP in a fourteen stack magazine. We also tend to equip our handguns with "NillGriff" laser-carved wooden handgrips, to keep a solid grip. She carries her rig all around the world, while I like to just take them out on the range. Normally we're not too keen on handguns, but I own a lot of them, and wifey needs them for protection. What I really like to use is a Purdey/Holland&Holland side by side shotgun, and a grouse in my sights. Real guns are like violins.MACpistol.com wrote:Some of the guns mentioned sound pricey. Edit: Oh, a Para Ordnance P14 with NillGriff will probably set you back about $2000. Not too bad when you consider what you get. I'll take a wild guess, but you won't be entering any national competitions with that MAC of yours.....

Actually, my "MACs" are incredibly accurate because the barrel is stationary. Also, the barrels on the full size "MACs" are longer than most handguns (they're 6 inches-most of the barrel is INSIDE the upper receiver) which obviously aids in accuracy.I'll take a wild guess, but you won't be entering any national competitions with that MAC of yours....
The PROBLEM with "MACs" as far as accuracy goes, is that the sights on "MACs" are big steel pieces, and are not adjustable (the gun is made to be super tough). If you put a red dot scope on a "MAC," you can be surprisingly accurate.
Well in NZ guns are really hard to get hold of and so I rent one from the range for a rather small fee. The rifle is incredibly accurate it being a sighted single shot blot action and rather old. the range has one ffrom about 1940 and it still works shots and does everything perfectly. Nothing has been replaced or removed except for the blot as law requires that to be stored seprately.

I didn't. I don't even have a gun. And I don't enjoy shooting them.
Having guns is unnessecary for me at least. They're just too simple for me. You just press a button and you're done.
I like weapons that present a challenge. Like a bow and arrow, sword, nunchucks etc. There's a challenge in handling these weapons.

Well, I did handle a Steyr Aug assault rifle, a M60 heavy machinegun and a Makarov pistol, if I recall correctly (all of them not loaded, by the way). The Army came over and set up a weapons exhibition at a local golf club. Very long time ago, though.

I'd just like to say, there certainly is challenge to be had in using guns. A gun, in my view, while lethal even in untrained hands, requires much practice and discipline to bring out its full potential.Smiley :) wrote:I like weapons that present a challenge. Me personally, I own a Beretta 9000s, and while I'm not real good with it, I like it a lot. And while I was active duty in the military, my weapon of choice was the M203 grenade launcher (i know, grenade launcher is not really a gun). Love that baby, and I don't feel like I'm exaggerating if I say I was damned good with it.
If I asked, would you answer? Its your problem. Its a deep, deep problem. I have no way to ask about that... I have no elegant way of stepping into your heart without tracking in filth. So I will wait. Someday, when you want to tell me, tell me then. -Bleach
