Flail of Ages important?

Post by Qeed »

Hello!

I seem to have forgotten to push the forge in the de'Anise keep to make the Flail of Ages. So now Roenal has taken over the keep and I'm stuck outside with the three heads.
My party contains of me(cavalier, carosmyr +5), minsc nalia aerie jan and valygar. I'm wondering is there anyway to get into the keep to make it. Is it worth the effort to reload a saving before i left the keep or even worse: Is it worth to cheat with CLUA to get the flail or could i just throw out the heads and not worry?

it is not a must have weapon thats for sure, not sure i would use it with your party anyways, but its strong so you need to decide on your own if you need this weapon or not.

Throw it away. The game is easily beatable without it.

if you like flails, you'll love THIS!

can be made +5 in ToB, so if you are specialised in flails and like slowing your enemies, the FoA is pretty good. it also kills trolls, as it does elemental damage.

You don't need a flail...

Trolls are best charbroiled with a Fireball, and then slowly grilled to perfection with a nice Agnazzar's Scorcher directed with skill. Finally, roast with Burning Hands for that finishing that seals in those regenerating badness... serve by skewering with an Arrow of Fire highly suggested! :p

Good weapon, for a young party, since you can get it pretty early in the game. Great upgraded weapon later on. I say, CLUA in it.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

First few playthroughs I didn't use it, and at points in the game found myself scrambling to get more fire arrows or spells to use on the trolls,
but since then I've made it a point to grab and use, makes those encounters much easier..
especially with a nice tank character.. :)

There's a good chance that this weapon will stay with you until the end of ToB, especially on priest type characters.

It must surely be one of the best weapons in the game. It is my personal favourite atleast.

I'm sure that there was a quest associated with it - because you can't sell it and if the party member using it leaves, it is returned ot you - I think it was one of those cut out quests.
