OK, so this is really my fault. OMG i can't even believe how stupid I was being. Anyway, my xbox is broken, so we were using another one. This one's owner stupidly decided to lay it vertical instead of horizontal. So when I put in Oblivion I turned it horizonal while the game was in there. Ya, i am a fool. So now it has two gigantic scratches in it and I am really frustrated looking on the web for repairs.
So I am wondering if the toothepaste thing really works or if Gamestop, Best Buy, or Blockbuster does repairs for a little cost
Or... is it... time... to buy another copy of Oblivion??!!

Toothpaste has a 50/50 chance of working depending on how big the scratches are. If hot water (not warm, HOT) and toothpaste don't fix it, you should probably just get a new copy.
Although, to be honest, I have no idea what toothpaste will do to an Xbox game, as they use a different DVD than PC's and the toothpaste trick is meant for PC's.

It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.

I had the same problem, but i went to trade my copy of oblivion in, the guy at Game charged me £2.50 to use their scrath remover thingy before they would accept the disc. So am presuming that some stores in the other countries might well do the same for you, otherwise just get a pre owned. its a great game but not worth paying full price for more than once!
