Becoming a Balverine

Post by netherworld boy »

I've heard rumours that you can become a balverine. From what i've read, you get bitten and when the night comes you will transform. But one thing questions my mind, what part would the dog play in this? I mean you are a balverine after all and i don't think one of them would get on friendly with a dog. So the balverine part would probably be taken out of the game. What do you think.

Unless becoming a balverine will give you some kind of uber power, I don't see the logic behind it. I really doubt you can still wield your weapons and cool armor whilst you are a balverine. So, what's the point of becoming one?

Maybe you can only access a certain area by transforming like jumping up a cliff that you couldn't reach when in human form. It would be weird how they use the balverine part but it would also be a new feature to the game, many people wish to become one out there.

I see. If you can transform at will, then I have no qualms. But, if you are forced to remain a balverine until you get the cure or a certain time has passed (night?), then it can get pretty constricting.

perhaps it could be part of a quest
(you only become one during the quest) and perhaps if this was how it worked, you would be able to turn into one if you wanted to from then on(like a spell or something)

Exactly my point. If they want to implement it, then make it temporary. ;)

I hope if they do do It they do not screw it up like morrowind GOTY did where you could not even look at your equipment while in the Balverine mode.

Morrowind GOTY did not screw it up. They had it so you couldn't see your items because there was no point; you couldn't equip them so why be able to see them?

That said, I like GAMERULER's idea for it to be part of a quest. That would be cool.

Balverine

I also think the balverine feature would be good, to an extent, like in oblivion etc. you are restricted at times of day/night which could stop you from doing a quest etc.

i would like it if you could become the white balverine, but become him on demand, rather than at the full moon, like in underworld :)

I'd be pretty up for being a Balverine. Waiting in the bushes or on clifftops,m striking out at passing Traders. Sounds pretty good. Yopu could have balverine morphing based opn your alignment; like if you were pure good you could have a white balverine with blue eyes, and a grey, bald one for corrupt evil.

I don't think you can become a balverine, if you can
just be "biten" by one, that would make fighting them
harder if you don't want to become one.
