Hey, everybody! You might remember my thread about the DOMT a couple of months back. Well, that game got deleted by accident, so I had to restart, this time on single player.
Anyway, I'm in the Underdark now (I just started the game a few days ago--was pretty bummed out about losing my other game), and not only am I loaded down with more stuff than I can really carry, I also have the necessary parts for the Wave halberd. I don't want to sell my extra crap to the Deurgar because they're a bunch of rip-offs, and a legendary halberd sounds like fun.
My question is: when will I be able to return to Athkatla so I can solve these problems, if ever? I don't want massive spoilers or anything, I just want a general idea, e.g. how many areas I have to go before I get the opporitunity to go back.
Just a small question (spoiler alert)

Didn't you pick up the Bag of Holding in Spellhold? In any case, you should install the "unlimited space" part of the Ease of Use mod so your bags and cases have no storage limit. That should solve your problems and allows you to focus on the actual game instead of playing "Baldur's Inventory".

Yes, I did, but it doesn't have unlimited space. It can't fit a stack of 40 bolts in it, for instance.
I'm not desperate for room yet, basically, but soon I'm gonna need to see a merchant.
I don't use mods, as it feels like cheating. I don't mind having to manage inventory all that much, and you can buy multiple bags.

There are at least seven merchants in the Underdark. Your return to Athkatla really depends on you though.

Infinite item stacking and infinite container space make the game so much more enjoyable i cannot fathom why anyone would want to play without.
Anyway, if you have a character with 18 Charisma you can leave the Underdark right away. You will miss many quests, items and a lot of XP though. And yes, you will quite a lot of items at some point so be prepared to do those fun runs between far away merchants and the place you get all those items. After all, that's what games are about, tedious micromanagement.
