I have The Collector's Edition(V1.5) installed, and it crashes approximately every 10-15 minutes.

Is this normal?

As for my system:

Dual Core AMD(~2.6Ghz)
Nvidia 8600 GTS w/latest drivers
2 GB RAM
Windows Vista 32-bit(with some of the updates, but not the most recent ones)

You might want to do a search on "Vista" and see what others have suggested for ways to make the game run better under that OS.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"

I've done pretty much everything suggested(reinstalled, run as administrator, disabled UAC, updated drivers, set compatibility mode, downloaded 9.0c runtime library) and it still crashes. :(

It always crashes at the same place, too. In the sewers at the beginning, in the water with goblin archers in the scaffolding above. I know someone else who has it crash at the same spot each time.

Any topics I could have missed dealing with that particular issue?

It looks like you've tried all of the Vista suggestions.

Your problem doesn't sound familiar to me, so you might just be out of luck. Dungeon Lords has more than a few bugs associated with it.

That's unfortunate. I like the graphical style and core gameplay a lot, and there are few games like this.

same problem here

I have the same prob...crashes when I enter area with goblin archers on catwalk in Fargrove sewers. I get a message saying dlords exe stopped working.

I had the usual vista problem when I first started trying to play this game where I got as far as leaving Fargrove but then couldn't load a saved game. I followed the very helpful suggestions re compatability and don't have any save problems but can't get past this point in the game now...HELP

ok after continued attempts I finally got thru however this problem has persisted. It crashes sometimes after 5 secs sometimes after 10 minutes. Still same message...boots me right out to desk top, rather frustrating...could my exe file be corrupted? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game a couple of times.

allrighty then I went to Nvidia's website and downloaded an update for my 8800 GTX video card that was released in nov '08...been able to play with no interuptions for a couple of hours. will keep my fingers crossed.
