Crash with Jeanette and with some dialouge

Post by darkcrimsongoth »

I'm on my second time through with the game, playing as a Malkavian and I got Jeanette to kill off Therese. Now, I got the email to see Jeanette, and I go into her room, go up to her, hit E and computer freezes for 2 seconds and the game crashes. It has also happened while speaking to Bertum Tung. No matter what I do, it always crashes. Help is welcome!

Have you per chance listened to any game sounds with the Microsoft Media Player?

well yes and no, for some odd reason WMP buggers up the sound files if you listen to them with it, only fix i found was a complete uninstall and reinstall but SAVE your save files before hand though!

Apparently, simply removing the files from the WMP library will work. Not tried it myself, never listened to the sound files.

Another option besides reinstalling would be to just copy the sound files over from the CDs.
