Companions stop following

Post by wilsondc48 »

I searched the forum but got no returns. All of a sudden my companions just stop following me. It’s like I walk a straighe line and they just stop one by one. If I go back and group then with the mouse they follow until the next encounter. I can leave them far away and go thru a portal and they come with me, but if I move they just stand there. Weird anyone see this before?

A couple possibilities:

1. You turned on puppet mode by mistake. You can check this by clicking on the behavior tabs of your companions.

2. Either you or the game issued a "stand your ground" order to your companions. To correct this, right click on the ground, hold the right mouse button down for a second, and then select the broadcast command "follow me".

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

A quicker method would be the V, E, E (and in that order. It's the voice command box). Also, it's been highly recommended that you place that command on the tool-bar.
