Help with Ocean Hotel

I really don't want to do the Ocean Hotel level (for various reasons), and I heard that there was a cheat to bypass it completely (that isn't noclip, I was looking for something that gives me the pendant and flags the hotel part finished), but I couldn't find it anywhere on the forums.

Any help would be appreciated.

Y dont u wanna do Ocean hotel??

with noclip its a breeze just fly up high and u should see the end room with the pendent.

I'm in the same situation as Aspartan here... I'm willing to try noclip, but I'd prefer the other option. Either way, is there anyone who could spell it out in very simple terms? Think 'Computers for Grandma,' rofl. And little details, like what (if any) patches I need for the first option, or how much of a difference noclip would truly make... Sorry, I know, this is probably annoying. >.<

Watch out! He's comming!

Noclip will simply allow you pass through walls which would otherwise force you to navigate the mansion normally. Having nopclip on will allow you simply reach the pendant by phasing though the ceiling and grabbing the item.

Not sure what the command required are though...

But I LOVE that level! It's one of (if not) the best part of the game.

I have been trying to figure out this Ocean Hotel quest. I keep dying in after I get out of the vents. I can't seem to go back up in the dumb waiter and I don't have the pendent either. I can't seem to locate it. I have been all through it I know I must be missing it somewhere. I am also not using any of the cheats so the game is taking a long time. Please help.

The whole dying thing results from the elevator crashing through the shaft, which in turn results in you being crushed. Just get to the other side quickly enough after exiting the vents, and you should be able to climb up the shaft and continue your search.

You are about halfway through there...

Some help that's hopefully not spoilered...

- You do not need to use any vampire powers here.

- Before exiting the vent, take a good look at the area where you are about to enter and note the confined space. Take note of anything that is slightly different. Consider all possible paths that you might be able to take.

- And when you do exit the vent into the area, do not linger. Move quickly.

- Turn up the volume. That should give a good hint as to what is going on.

- If you still have no idea what's killing you, look around. It's a 3D game. Look all around.

I have looked all around and the only thing that i see is the red light and i think that explodes and kills me but i am really not sure. i tried even going back looking for something that I had missed but i can't find anything. i am assuming the pendent is right after the vent because it appears that i am to climb a ladder up (i think it is an elevator shaft). But honestly i have looked in all directions. I have tried moving quickly too and to get out of there. I really don't know what i am doing wrong. please help

Where are you getting killed? Spoilers ahead, highlight to read.

If it's as you try to get to the ladder, it's because you're getting squashed by the elevator. You need to jump/move forward quickly to get to the area on the other side, next to the ladder. I found the first jump put me in front of that area, and I had to jump again to get up where it's safe. When you've done that, climb the ladder as far as you can go and look around for a ledge you can jump to. Make your way to the door and keep exploring. And like the voice in the vent says "be careful".

Awesome, its best to just play the game without cheats at first. I got squished when i got into that lift shaft but got it the second go

although i had my sound off so it was tricky to see what happened at first.

Since you seem to have gotten past the squishy part.

Probably aggravated damage if you are not careful.

Ghostly flames all over the place after that. The exploding lights should no longer happen here, but they deal some small normal damage at best anyway.

It was the elevator. For a lark, once, I went into that shaft with god-mode on. Hint: When you're wearing an elevator as a hat, you can't move.

Bump.

I took the pendant from the table, and took it back to the asylum, however, therese was still there saying LOL GO GET TEH PENDANT as if I haven't already got it.

Anyone want to help me out? (or answer my first question, that'd be good. i know you guys have the knowledge

)
