Oh no... Did I just spoil the ending for me?

Post by Mars422 »

Hi all. :)

I just recently purchased BG II and I decided to look for some mods for the game. (Haven't played far, just got out of the starting dungeon. ) While I was browsing a forum for BG 2 mods I got a glance at this topic title:

Spoiler

" ...What DOES happen if you choose Godhood at the end, anyway? (spoiler)"

So I'm wondering: Did I just spoil the ending for me? Or is that too vague a title to count as a spoiler and I should just continue on with the game ( In that I haven't had anything spoiled) ?

Thanks for any replies! :)

no no no

The journey is just as good as, or maybe better than, the destination. And this spoiler isn't even SoA.

I recommend:

1. Play BG1 first. (Events in BG2 will resonate more if you been with the story from the beginning.)

2. Play unmodded first. (See how the original designers meant it to be. Use mods to freshen things up when things become too familiar on subsequent play-throughs.)

3. Stay the hail away from forums, because spoilers lurk everywhere. (Or if you must, start a thread with a specific question and indicate you need a spoiler-free answer.)

Have fun.
Why is it that whenever I finally get around to playing a new game for the first time,
I feel like playing Baldur's Gate for the second time...

I'll be sure to follow that advice. Thanks! :)
