Unofficial Patch 5.0 is out!
Hi everyone! I won't have much time over Easter, so I thought it would be better to get this out of the door . Find it as usual first at The Patches Scrolls ((The Patches Scrolls) Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines Downloads) in both complete and incremental installer versions.
I hope the minor basic/plus re-structuring issues have been fixed and with some last additional quest states added, I hope the new stuff is done and I can now concentrate on removing the last bugs with the 5.x versions to finally get this finished!

+Made more basic/plus changes using variable and fixed text details.
Added netcafe entry update for Ash Rivers and delayed Tawni's one.
+Made Bach and Shu drop both weapons and removed a basic carry-over.
Added museum and Bertram log states and Blood Buff in Elysium tip.
+Added xp for Copper and poster quests and matched basic/plus order.
+Moved Tawni poster to Tremere bathroom and restored a Regent line.
Made Hatter drop screenplay on death and corrected Blood Boil info.
Stopped Skelter from blocking you and adjusted Hannah's book dates.
Added breaking sound to warrens vent and Ocean House floor boards.
+Restored Vandal's alternative for Nosferatu and warehouse bonus xp.
Fixed basic Ra blade description and it's invisible stats in plus.
Made sarcophagus key not giveable and fixed a basic Imalia exploit.
Improved Tommy's quest log and fixed Regent and Trip endgame bugs.
Removed inappropriate Buddha moving sound and included python code.

There's a little typo at "The Patches Scrolls" which refers to both versions of the patch as "Unofficial English Patch 1.2 to 5.0". I was a bit hesitant about applying this patch thinking I'd have to reinstall the entire game, apply the 1.2 patch and then install this one. Fortunately, the little one is for 4.9 to 5.0, phew!

I'm going to mention something I've mentioned before and it's still happening. For some reason after the cutscene where Lily is rescued in the clinic, the dialog with Vandal doesn't lead to you bringing back that chick upstairs at the Asylum to replace Lily. Vandal first says how you screwed up letting Lily go. Reply options are what can I do to make it up to you. He replies he not going to that trick. Future reply mentions now he has to find someone to replace Lily. Then there is no further dialog connected to that (of the 4 options, none of them work) to get him to tell you about the girl in the Asylum. Last time I played and tried every option there was (and this was after we had a prior conversation about this same thing), I couldn't get him to tell me about the girl. Cutscene ended and I then went back to him at the window. That time he did mention about the girl and I got that quest. This time I played it, I went through the same exact routine again without getting him to mention the girl. Now this time no matter how many times I revisited him at the window, the subject never came up.
Even though last time I asked you about this (and you said nothing was wrong there), I still say something is. Umpteen patches ago, this used to be easy getting this quest. Now for some reason, something is all messed up. Would you please revisit this to see if you can duplicate what I'm talking about and if there is a problem somewhere. The quest is actually a small thing but it's just that they should all be accessable. Thanks

Maybe you met the "4 answers limit" because you had high Intimidation and Persuasion. Yes I did have high persuasion and intimidation (the highest of each actually, I usually do the giftxp 999 thing and just give it to myself as I want, yeah I know, I'm a wuss, heh heh). Why would that restrict the answer options (this 4 answer limit that I know nothing of)? Seems it should increase the likelyhood of getting what you want, not diminish it.
If you need the exact dialogs through that whole cutscene with Vandal, I'm going to have to play it again and do some writing. That's going to take some time. I'll have to go back and see if I have a save point right before the cutscene, otherwise I'd have to start a new game to get there again.

I think there is a limit of 4 lines to each dialogue otherwise you would get a screen overflowing with options if people cheated them super-stats like you did . Did you continue an older saved game after updating to 5.0? Nevertheless, while there is no command to complete the quest, open the console on the main hub, type "G.Tawni_Spotted = 0" and then enter her flat again to repeat the quest.slvrstang wrote:Model Citizen quest
Hello, I'm currently playing a Malk on v5.0 and I cannot complete this quest.
Upon entering the building the quest immediatly fails. Even if I enter while Obfuscated(rank 5) AND crouching. Is there a command to just auto-complete the quest?
No this was a new game. Also I started the game with no fist weapon and the inability to pick up items. I fixed this with the give item_w_zombie_fists and the physgun command. Played this wonderful game a few weeks ago for the first time, using the 5.0 version of the Unofficial Patch. I could not get the Tal'mahe'Ra Blade during my first run, on another Forum they said the location of it had been moved several times. So I want to know the location of this fine blade for my next run at least, by now I've heard two things "can be found during a quest in chinatown" and "can be found in Andreis lair deep down in Hallowbrook", I had already passed both locations when I got to know these, so I registered here... please can anyone give me correct location of the Tal'mahe'Ra Blade for this version? Preferable with a description where to find it as precise as you can provide.

In the 5.0 plus version the Ra blade is in Andrei's lair right below from where he appears.
