The Beast *Spoilers prolly*
I cannot beat the beast... I've used an upgraded Aard sign on him at least 15 times and not once has he been knocked down for more then .3 seconds. I can't kill him with damage because I keep going into 'pain' in which Geralt plays with his hair while the dogs tear his throat out... any suggestions?

agibail is the key
1st - You must at all cost protect Abigail, because she fills Your vitality a couple of times.
2nd - Use swallow to regenerate Your vitality even when beeing stuck in Pain
3rd - Blizzard is very helpful, because it practicy halves Beasts hit points
I dealed with barghests in group style so the Beast could've some damage too.
And fried it as much Igni spells as could.
If You keep Abigail alive, then You win, otherways it's quite impossible.
And when Beast is dead, its not over, save Your punch to kick more ass.

The Beast
I just used the fast style on the Beast. My steel blade had Necrophage Oil on it. I just concentrated on him and ignored the other dogs and took him out. Abigail was able to look after herself. As a matter of fact I thought I had lost her when the townspeople showed up. I took them out using group style, but in so doing I lost sight of Abigail. I figured she had had it and I would have to reload a save. When I finally found her she had backed herself into a doorway and was defending herself quite nicely. Anyway a win is a win.
The only thing I regret is that I didn't have time to get a sword made from the three meteorite fragments I had found. Is there anyway to do that?

If you didn't get the chance, go ahead and finish off Chapter 1. In Chapter 2, you'll be able to get your chance at the blacksmiths in Vizima.mberry wrote:The only thing I regret is that I didn't have time to get a sword made from the three meteorite fragments I had found. ''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
