familiar mod
Is there a mod that displays your familiar as a member of your party, or maybe just gives it a portrait that displays its hp and such?
Welcome to Gamebanshee.
I am not aware of any mod that does that. It is possible to add your familiar to your party with the CTRL-Q cheat key (or anyone else, for that matter), but it isn't a good idea (except for novelty and fun). If your familiar (or some useless NPC) is a party member, they will receive a share of the experience you earn. You might be thinking, "Hey, that's great--they can go up in level," but it usually doesn't work. Unless the party member is a playable class (Fighter, Mage, Thief, etc.), they probably can't level up, and if you try to use the Level Up button, the game will crash. That means a lot of experience will be wasted, and there might be other side effects, too. As far as I can tell, any mod that adds a familiar to your party would have the same problem (unless it made the familiars belong to classes that can level up, which is another bad idea).
On the other hand, chickens are actually 1st level Mages, so if you add one (or a bunch) to your party, maybe they can become Arch Mages.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/)
