I've just had the most absrudly easy battle with Irenicus at the Tree of Life. My character killed him straight off by fireing off three simulataneous Flame Arrows via Spell Sequencer. They hit before his defences kicked in. Very unsatisfying actually - way too easy.

The luckiest fight outcome - came when i was facing the black dragon in the elf city - thinking I was good at fighting dragons I forgot to prep and just walked in ready to kick some dragon butt - wow was that ever a mistake - after 3 rounds - mazzy died - misnc was knocked out - and i forget to prep spells for taking down MR - i was getting my butt kicked - and so Imoen with the wand of wonder pointed the wand at the dragon - and bamm - he died - got petrified - i was stunned i actually won this fight and got the cup - of course i had to resurrect mazzy - but an overall funny fight - in which the rather random wand of wonder performed a miracle for me.

Another funny fight happened to Aerie - she polymorphed some villian into a squirrel - and it worked - first for her - then she proceeded to whack him with the staff of the magi - funny i forgot the dispel magic on it - and the polymorph other was dispelled and the villain ran away (moral failure) - a funny fight...

I had my solo monk walk up to Fiirkrag and punched his kneecap with quivering palm, and to my great suprise he failed his save and died.
Thank you for the goldy sword Mr. dragon.

Just had a funny experience in Suldanesselar. Ramlat had just used fire storm on me and conjured up a pit demon. I ran followed closely by the demon that was already there. I defeated that demon quite easily with little damage. Whilst fighting it, the pit demon turned on Ramilat who only just managed to kill it. One blow and he was dead. Realised afterwards that I should have sneaked up on the demon and backstabbed it just as it was about to die.
I'm wondering if the spell sequence for Ramilat is always the same. if it is, this could be used as a Gorgonzola Tactic.

Shadow Dragon

I had Nalia use the wand of wonder on the Shadowdragon and it petrified him, flesh to stone, so then I had Jahiera use a stone to flesh and timed it so Nalia to cast feeblemind on him and then proceeded to beat him up. I figured I better un petrify him because I didn't know if the goodies would be there if I didn't.

I've had Immy kicking Gromnir the very same way. They do nasty damage, those little arrows.

I beat the demi-lich in Watcher's Keep. What happened was, Minsc(whom I had berserked somewhat earlier) proved quite immune to that damn skull-thing's attempts to imprison him.
Half the rest of the party went down, but I managed to get my protagonist the hell out of there while Minsc stood around in a frenzy hacking at the poor sod.
Man, I love Minsc.

I'm amazed at how fast a hasted archer takes things down, I don't understand thaco calulations that well and -20 thaco sounds pretty powerful.
Warning: logic and sense is replaced by typos and errors after 11pm
Spoiler
, it has yet to return

This makes me wonder if hasted and wearing boots of speed are the same. Also how is the effect of the Tuigan bow and haste together worked out?

As for ToB/SoA, like many people I've only ever played with both installed, I got the two bundled together with the extra merchant(s) and Cheese (Shield) of Balduran. Not sure if that was the Goty version, it was so long ago I've forgotten. To me they are effectively the same game.
This comes from a thread regarding that question :)
