I went to fight Kangaxx, and he told me that I had to find his arms and legs, which I know I had place in my bag of holding. When I looked through it, I also noticed that I was down to one protection from magic scroll, when I know I had two (I bought them at the same time from Ribald).
I have a no bottoms patch, from G3 tweaks.
Anybody else have this problem? I'm very frustrated... who knows what else is missing from my bag?

Yeah' I've noticed things go AWOL when using the tweak mod too, fortunately I also have Shadow Keeper, so I have been able to replace them.
I guess I shouldn't replace them, after all, in PnP AD&D I recall there being a warning that putting sharp/pointy items in a BOH could tear it and result in lost items, not unreasonable I guess.

Can i just ask; do they go missing only if using the bottomless bags tweak...or by using the mod in general, even if you are not using the bottomless tweak. You make it sound as though using the mod itself is enough to possibly cause problems?...galraen wrote:Yeah' I've noticed things go AWOL when using the tweak mod too, fortunately I also have Shadow Keeper, so I have been able to replace them.

Thanks for any clarification.
I suspect, although I can't be absolutely certain, that it's the bottomless container tweaks. I say container, 'cos I've also had scrolls go missing, it's not a continual problem, and it may actually be caused by a conflict with another mod for all I know. It hasn't been serious enough to stop me using the mod that's for sure. I wouldn't panic about it, just keep an eye on things, and if something important goes missing, use SK.

Sorry once again, but is it tweak you have installed there as well? Or is it the case with standard vanilla game bags that you're losing items - i'll hold off on bottomless bags if there's any chance of losing items.wise grimwald wrote:I have also had rings go missing from the gem bags. Just had a ring of protection +2 go missing. It's enough to make you start using editors or mules!
Thanks.
ANOTHER WARNING
in multiplayer, when you export/import characters, they seem to lose the Ammo belt and there is a risk of the BoH disappearing too. I usually put quest items in the BoH, so the fact that things disappear from it has been an irritation from time to time. the worst was the loss of WK access items - including the gems for the sceptre. had to go back to an older save, which was a pain considering how tough WK can be.

I have dungeonbegone and unfinished business installed, but not ease of use as I found that removed too many difficulties.prune1 wrote:Sorry once again, but is it tweak you have installed there as well? Oh, so no bottomless bags tweak installed there then?wise grimwald wrote:I have dungeonbegone and unfinished business installed, but not ease of use as I found that removed too many difficulties.
And you mention ease of use, i'm sure you're aware...but just in case, that has been incorporated into bg2 tweaks now, which possibly has newer things/better versions of other things that you may want.
I was basically looking to avoid bottomless bags if they have a chance of magically losing items...but if it happens regardless of that particular tweak then i may go ahead anyways...though i must say, i don't think i've ever lost anything from any containers of mine.
IIRC, you lose all containers if you export/import characters in MP, and it's not a 'risk' but a sure thing.Celacena wrote:ANOTHER WARNING
