Cleric mage annoyeance

Post by Odd Gamer »

Alright all, i made my cleric/mage, he is doing good healing here, throwing fireball there, yada yada, all fun and such, but i get annoyed with his robes, i mean the rest of my characters stand there in plate mail, archmage robes yada yada, and he still looks like he did when he first started out (in his robes of the goodly archmages). Tried the cheat mode to change this, that just changes the looks for that game and i still have to say what armor set to go with. And, as soon as i turn off the game, he resets back to his old weakly looking self, so question is, how do i fix this?

Use some different robes, as they do have different graphical appearance.
However the graphical difference of the different robes are minor but then again, so are the various plate mails et al. also.

you mis understand the problem, for some reason in the wisdom of the makers, when they choose the paperdoll for the Half-Elf Cleric/Mage (didn't at the time much feel like being a gnome) they chose Human Cleric as the standard, so it isn't that the robes i have equiped, it is the fact that wearing robes for this template doesn't exist for it to show a character wearing robes, so he just looks as if he is wearing no armor

Your cleric/mage uses a priest character model. It changes only when you equip non-robe body armor. You can use Shadowkeeper or the cheat console to change the character's appearance to the wizard model. Then, when you wear robes, the paper doll will change, however, when you use other types of armor, such as plate mail, the character appearance won't change.

Well ya i tried that, but first, i have to chose what armor for it to show it doesn't react to it being equiped, and whenever i save and shutdown the game, and then load it back up, i have to go threw the mess all over again every single time.

You are using the cheat that changes armor appearance. That one is temporary however and instead you want to use the one that changes the paper doll appearance.
