Is there any way to kill that Amaunator statue in the shadow temple? The one that flamestrikes the crap out of you until you guess the sun ritual thing right?
I'm just curious, because there's a little eye socket or something that lights up when I press tab, and the statue takes damage from weapons. I've been whacking it with Carsomyr and the Flail of Ages for 30 minutes now and it's not dead, so I'm starting to think it's pointless.
Is there actually something in that socket, or is it just there to hold the item the statue gives you when it's done with you?
There's a diamond in the socket. The way to get it is to walk far enough away that the blue circle disappears, but you can still select the eye socket.
It's also trapped, btw.
