Favourite Haven? (Possible Spoilers)

Post by lifeishell91 »

Which is your favourite haven? Your first one in Santa Monica, the Downtown apartment, the exclusive room in the Tremere chantry, or the Nosferatu's hole in the sewers?

My favourite is the Nosferatu haven. It is so comfortable and unique. I love everything about it, the way the books are piled on the (probably IKEA) table, the puddles on the floor and the big machine-thingies which remind of your quest to find the Warrens.

Then the Santa Monica apartment, then the Tremere room and finally the Downtown apartment (I'm sorry, but it is so plain...)

What's your favourite?

Tremere chantry, of course, but I'm Taurus. We're well-known for our love of creature comforts. From there, Santa Monica, the Sewers, and Downtown. yes, I know the downtown haven is nicest of the three, but it's just so, well, generic. Blechhh... If I wanted generic, an army barracks would be as good as anything else.

My order

1.) Tremere Chantry -
Absolutely the best. Comfort, books, a different look plus you'll get new blood bags and a tremere gift. Talk about feeling welcome. It's a hit.
2.) Skyline Apartments -
Yes, it's kind of generic. But at least there's a big screen TV, room for your stuff, a mail box, and it's well located. You get tired of it because most characters can get this one and you spend a lot of time in it, but I like it. The fish, the nice living room and so on.
3.) Santa Monica haven - I used to hate it when I started playing, thinking "How can they put me in here?" (I first played a Ventrue, then Tremere) But it's actually ok. Kind of reminds me of college dorms and all. And it's right next to the blood bank and Mercurio's / Trip's shops.
4.) The Sewers - It took me sometime to actually play a Nossie. It's not my kind of thing. I actually wish Gary had not given me that heaven, I had all the hardware to send him for the posters but I couldn't send him anymore because there is no mail box. (I usually only solve the Gargoyle mission after the Giovanni Mansion mission to get extra XP [occult item]) I couldn't watch TV. All there is a nice rat for you to munch because you're a Nossie. I never do it unless playing this clan. It really made me feel like a rat.

Everyone's entitled to his/her opinion and this is my own. I really disliked sewer missions and all so a heaven there wouldn't make me happy. I got around playing Nosferatu with high obfuscate all the time, wanted to try every clan once, but it really isn't my thing. Obfuscate is really cool, but the social reclusion was hard for my character to endure.

Actually, there is a mailbox for the Nos haven as well. It's been awhile, but I think it's just to the left of the door as you leave. Can't say as I imagine anybody from the USPS ever shows there, though. Upside: No junk mail.

Wow, interesting the differences of opinion on this! :)

Personally, I prefer the Downtown haven to ALL of the others. It's easy to get, (although if there were something even nicer, I'd definitely take the effort to obtain it), and I, being Toreador, find the fresh, crisp, cleanliness quite lovely. I also love the big screen television and the fantastic fish tank, the bedroom, the "office space" with the stereo, well really....there's just nothing I DON'T like about it.

Incidentally, I got the same marvelous "care package" welcoming me to my new haven as the previous poster mentioned regarding the one over at "Max Strauss's pad"....hehe! ;) So, it's not like you Tremere have one up on we Toreadors or anything. :P lol

The Tremere Chantry Haven is the best of all, more nice and chic!

Actually the Tremere do get a gift that the Toreador don't, but it only works for Tremere ;)
