To be honest, I don't think Team Gizka's mod is something any of us should still imagine is going to happen.
It's a shame after all the work they've done, but they don't seem to be advancing any, and as the months go by and more and more people have Vista (which I believe makes KOTOR2 unusable)...
The really sad thing is they've got a beta version in testing, but they refuse to let anyone except their own cronies use it. Personanlly I wouldn't mind having a buggy version, but they say no. Which is their right, but it makes me a bit wistful.

Well, actually moving to a beta few months ago was a pretty big step, and they've already gone through eight versions of the beta mod, so progress is being made. I don't particularly like their completely closed door policy about release info, but its their show to run. I really do think the mod is almost ready for release...should be a few months, though. They've spent this long making it, I can wait.

@Invisable Man: you won't need any particular modding program, you'll just need to download the mod once its finished. It will likely just install itself into the game directory.
@Saber101: A mod is a modification for a game. In this case, the TSL Restoration Project is aiming to restore a whole lot of cut or mostly completed content from Knights of the Old Republic II that didn't make it into the game. The mod will hopefully tie up a lot of loose ends in the game, making it a good deal close to how Obsidian actually wanted to release the game. As stated before, it'll be for the PC version only.
Check it out at Team-Gizka's website. In their forums, they have a rather extensive list of all the content that will and will not be restored.

I heard that it won't be for any Xbox system, but you'll only be able to get the mod on the team gizka website.
