Dynaheir's journal

It has been several years since I played bg1. I have rescued Dynaheir and realized she really has almost no spells in her spellbook. When I rescued her she said something about finding her journal, but that was the last of it. So where is her journal and is it even worth looking for? I am hoping she has some more spells written down in it, becuase she really has a hard time writing magic from scrolls, I had to reload 3 times before she could learn and write identify!

the first thing that I would suggest is that you don't go for her too early in the game. If you go through the mines and do a few subquests, she will have spells such as fireball already. Of course this means that you can't have Minsc either at this stage. If you are having problems learning spells, that is what the intelligence boosting potions are for! Wait until you have a number of spells, take the potion and then learn all the spells before the potion wears off. Of course, my first bit of advice is a bit late for this run through, but hopefully not for future games. If I want Xan in my party, I use a similar tactic. I don't speak to him when I do the mines quest, but go for him when I have a bit more experience under my belt.
I understand that the journal is part of the NPC project mod and that there is info about it on the G3 site.

ok, thanks...I went for her almost immediately because I wanted her to get as many xp's as possible....but didn't think about her spellbook with that logic....I will have to save up on a few of those potions then. As always...appreciate the quick response!
