Problem at the twisted rune.

Post by wise grimwald »

I've just killed Shangalar whilst he is still on the table. His allies haven't turned up and I can't get to his goodies. I suspect that I need to go back to the autosave. Is that correct?

In short - yes, you need to reload. Basically, the twisted rune (incl your key out) spawns when Shangalar has teleported to his 'position'.

Don't worry, you can still abuse traps, just place them back a bit more. :p

Thanks for the reply. I like to know why things go wrong, so that I can avoid them in future. You assumed wrongly, I used death fog and firestorm, having been wiped out on my first try. After my overkill, I used death fog only. This severely injured him without killing. I was the able to move forward to trigger the sequence and I was able to deal with them. Four members of my party still died however. Still I managed to keep Jaheira alive, the most important one as I am in romance with her. A good job that I have two rods of resurrection!
