Ok, I've just installed the latest patch for IWD2 and the IWD2 Ease-of-Use ,IWD2 Bonus Merchant mods.
Somehow, when a PNJ talks the littles words supposed to be in white create a big black square and hide the environement. Like for items on the ground, before looping a corpse, i can see the weapon with a little black square around it. Is it supposed to be normal? i tried the game in 16 or 32 bits, with good or bad graphics. I've got a good cpu i don't think thats him the probleme.
And another question, with the mods, in the early begining i get betters items. Will this scrap the game. Will i always find good items like that who are just getting the game easier? I've taken the mod specialy for my druid because i wanted one! thanks for further answers.

Do you have the latest drivers for your videocard? Did it happen before or after you installed the mods (i.e. did you try it with just the patch).
The only way to truly ruin your game is installing Weimer's upgraded shapeshifts. I'm in the Underdark with my party and everyone aside from my level 10 Barb/Druid is level 5/ECL 6/8. I can take on groups of Driders (they give 1500 XP each because everyone has 9-12 unused levels) because of the all-powerful Yeti form. I haven't played in weeks because of that. :/

The mods you mentioned shouldn't unbalance things though, the Merchants have mostly expensive items of moderate use and the Ease-of-Use mod only makes the game playable (IWD, IWD2, BG and BG2 would be unplayable without unlimited ammo-stacking).

Yeah, face the honest challenge of endless stacks of ammo.kmonster wrote:The game is perfectly playable without mods, so I'd just uninstall them to face a honest challenge, even if they weren't causing graphical glitches.
Seriously now, if there's one thing i loathe about all the IE games and NWN it's inventory management. It's supposed to be a RPG, not a sim of my work (i work at a warehouse).

I only rarely use ammo stacking mods. These games are totally playable without them, you just have to learn how to manage your inventory
Anyway...
