Crom Faeyr vs Belm
Crom Faeyr vs Belm
Little powergaming question. Which one would be more powerful offhand weapon for Minsc, Crom Faeyr or Belm? I'm planning to give him Axe of the Unyielding to his mainhand.

I'd give him Belm so that he could attack faster and thus have a greater chance of triggering the vorpal effect of the upgraded Axe of the Unyielding.
If you don't care about the effect, Crom Fayer would let him do greater damage.

It's faster attacks + extra attack vs. vastly improved thac0 and damage. I'd say go with the Hammer until you run into spellcasters.

This question cannot be answered that simply. For instance, if you have Jaheira in the party, give her Belm right away. This way, Kundane will be left for Minsc. Yet, I'd say fight with Kundane/Belm off and the Axe main, because the vorpal effect is important. And against stronger enemies or those immune to Vorpal hits, use CF off, or even Main-handed with Belm off. Also reccomendable vs Golems and Trolls.
