Do the snow leopard hid and wyvern hide have any use?

Post by wise grimwald »

I think that these items are part of the amber mod. I took them to Cromwell and he couldn't do anything with them. Are they just items for sale, or can somebody else fashion them into something useful?

while I don't know anything about the hides, I keep finding a winterwolf pelt in the Copper Coronet and a wyvern head (from either one of the mages inside the planar sphere, they summon a wyvern sometimes..) They can be sold, but so far I haven't found any real use for them..

Try talking to the merchants in Waukeen's Promenade.

I have tried speaking to the merchants in Waukeem's Promenade, but without sucess. True, like the Copper Coronet, I can sell the items, but I have not found anyone who will make anything out of them. I did however find a potion which I haven't found before which is similar to viagra! I'm not that old!
Have I missed something?

One of the merchants near the guy who upgrades the Horn of Valhalla (it may even be him, it's been a while) should offer to do something with them if you choose the right dialogue options IIRC.

There is also the possibility I'm thinking of the wrong mod, there's been so many, but I'm pretty sure that a couple of the hides you get when rescuing her can be upgraded in WP.

It doesn't appear to be Maheer the Horn Merchant or the Merchant next to him. I'm wondering if I need the item upgrade mod as well. As a songwriter said, "You've gotta keep searchin', searchin'". So that's just what I'll do.

What's this, a Del Shannon fan? You can't be old enough WG, Sonny and I are the probably the only ones old enough to remember 'Follow the Sun', well maybe Fable too!

It's possible that if you installed other mods, especially if after Amber, that WP content has been over-written.

Hell, I remember when Runaway first came out, and was still being called Little Runaway. And that nauseating Musitron, too! :D

I suspect that's what happened, too. Order can be important, and NPC mods seem to be especially finicky along those lines.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

If you're looking for the merchant to be a hefty guy, you're looking for the wrong man. He's not too far away from Maheer or Quataris.

Thankyou. I was indeed looking for a more than slightly overweight gentleman.
I have at last found him, and he has made me an offer that I cannot refuse. :)
Densorteengel, you could try him with your pelts. I don't know if he'll use them, but no harm in trying.

I can't find any other merchants there, so I guess thats not an option regrettably.. I only found a guy named Murtlen(?) but he only keeps talking about being cheated or something.. Oh well, of to sell some pelts and heads :)

The fact that I had to do a search to answer this same question after only two years, proves that I'm old enough to remember Del Shannon.

Indeed, I'm now a pensioner, though still hoping that I'll get another job.
