Need a piece of advice

Post by Jennifer »

Hello all.

Been a few years since I played BG1, and I want to give it a go once again. I want the most out of the game, so before I do anything I need some help. What do I need to make the game as a good as possible? I am planning to play as a Neutral Good, Half-Elf, Skald if that's any fun/good. Maybe I should dual it? No idea :) But like the bard class.
I will play through BG1 (including Sword Coast) first with Tutu, and then import my char into BG2 and play through SoA + ToB.
Nothing is installed yet, not even the games. Don't want to mess anything up, which I usually do.

So basicly what I am wondering here, is what mods and patches should I get, and in which order should I install everything? Want to avoid installing anything in the wrong order so I might get bugs in the game, but still want everything that can make the game as fun as possible :/

Thanks in advance.

Install the game's patch, first. Install any unofficial patch you decide to use, next. For any mods you decide to add on, read their read-me files. The authors will almost always specify instructions about when to install their mods--whether last, earliest, etc.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
