I was wondering in the xbox version of KOTOR can you control how your follower charactor levels up, chose its weapons or not.

In the game, your NPCs are fully controllable just like the main character. You can switch between which character you control in the game world and you can fully control how they level up and what their equipment is.

I assume you're thinking that its like a follower from Diablo II or similar game...its not. The NPCs are more in line with more traditional RPGs, being that you can control them just as much as the main character.

Like in your main character. You don't play traditional rpg's often, do you?
You'll be able do give them extra skill point, feats or force powers ONLY when they level up (when they have earned enough experience points). However, while you can fully adjust you amin character, you won't be able to adjust your Npc's that way. When one of your Npc's is a fighter, he'll stay a fighter.

Also, maybe you mean with Npc the character you control. Npc means Non-player character. This usually refers to any character controllable except your character, or that is altleast what it means in my experience. So what you call a follower is, I think, a NPC.

I figured it out. I have played previous rpg games before but I have never been able to customise the NPC charators that go with you before. I'm rather new to Kotor, just started last saturday. Thanks any way

Ah, the first time through KOTOR. I envy you. I suggest you savor it and take your time speaking to every character. There are no 'commoners' that are a wast of time speaking to.
ENJOY!!! :D :D :D

Soldier feats

Does anyone know at what levels does a soldier gain feats and what are the feats that a soldier gains?

It should list all that in the game manual. Alternatively, Gamebanshee's KotOR section also contains all that information.

Well not that it has much to do with the current topic, but I think you can watch the feat tables at the KOTOR site here on Gamebanshee.
Anyway, I believe Soldiers get a feat every level.
