Anyone know anything about this beast?

Ok, so I was wandering through the Swamp, looking for Fool's Parsley, and I ran into a pack of wolves. Among them was some beast named "Vorin", it looked like an ordinary wolf, but like 3 times bigger. It killed me. I couldn't find it in the Bestiary. Anyone knows anything about this "Vorin"? Especially how to kill it?

Perhaps you mean Voref?

The Royal Huntsman has a bounty quest for him.

It is a trophy animal. As what Avatar had mentioned, you just kill it and hand it over to the Royal Huntsman for a reward. As for killing it, I used the fast style on it with a regular silver sword (could've doused it with hanged man's venom) and some Igni, if I recall.

silver vs steel

If I remember things right, the ordinary wolves are easier to kill with the steel sword, but Voref should be dealt with using a silver sword.
