In Tutu I played an elf similar to Xan and was able to use his sword. However, on importing him into SoA, I discovered that I couldn't use it.
I am wondering why, and if the Xan mod changes things.

Sometimes a modder will make their NPCs item only usable by them. This is done by setting the items conditions. The Xan mod's moonblade is set for a LN Mage Elf. Sometimes a modder will script the item so it stays in their NPCs inventory.
