F2: Reactor Shutdown

Post by the shape »

I go ahead and convince the scientist to release the FEV virus then go ahead to the lower level. As the alarm sounds the other scientist (Tom Murray) panics and I cannot initiate convo with him to convince him to shutdown the reactor. After trying a couple of times I reloaded. I convinced Tom to shutdown the reactor first, but then another alarm sounds and the scientist on the upper level goes on into panic mode so I can't really speak to him and thus I can't release the FEV virus. It's not like I can't blow the damn thing up, but it's just really annoying. Any tips would b welcome.

The moment any alarm sounds conversation is cut off, that's the way it's supposed to be.

But they're not supposed to sound the alarm unless you threatened to kill them. I might be wrong tho', and the alarm always sounds on FEV-release. If that's the case, then it's only possible to convince one of them period (I dunno, I never tried convincing both)

Regardless, the FEV-release thing isn't necessary and barely helps at this stage, and personally I always just blow up the generator.

Well actually now that you mention it, it does make a whole lot of sense. Why would I want to kill everybody on the platform in a gruesome way if the whole damn thing is gonna blow up to shreds anyway? Thanks.
