Who knows the new villain in DCI.
The Archmage comback?
Or not.

I keep voting for DCI each month in the ECX Top 150, but it never seems to get in the top 10. Invariably, there are always online comics with a humor that reminds me of Nancy. And I think a friend of mine was right who once believed Nancy was written by aliens, because it's literally never been funny.

You can actually vote up to once per day for DCI. I vote for it nearly everyday, but I never see its rank change....

Once a day? I thought Kayless said it was once a month.
Once a day? I thought Kayless said it was once a month.
Nope. Once a day.
Actually, sometimes I go home and vote again on my home computer, which makes it twice a day. If you count both Buzz and Top Web, I can vote up to four times a day.
If you try to vote more than once a day for any comic, those sites will tell you that you can't.

w00t, got it working
It's really nice to see dungeon crawlers and shadow packers launging together
they look like a really friendly group of people in that frame. One would almost think they didn't hate eachother to death...

The irony being that they came to together to laugh at the idea of coming together.

Best cure for a hangover. A new DCI
Never thought id see a lauguing werewolf.
But theres a first time for everything.
Am realy curious where the beholder/companion (what is he anyway) storyline is going.
How much of the future storyline have you already written inside your head?

Wow! I noticed you were 11th in Top WebComics when I voted this time, @Kayless. You may have mentioned making the top 10 before, but I don't recall, and this is pretty damn close.

Let's see, Castor's met up with a ton of skeletons, a lich, and a beholder (although I swore those things were the size of elephants; then again, this isn't supposed to be the most accurate depiction of D&D/Forgotten Realms). What's next? A Pit Fiend?

He's a Beholder.
I usually have a pretty god idea of where I want the story to go, but it takes so long for the tale to unfold that sometimes I change my mind about stuff.

We've been on the Top Ten in the past, but that was before the long hiatus when my old PC was giving me trouble. It took a while to build momentum back up, but we're back in the big league.

Size accuracy is limited by the comic. In reality Durnkrag is about two feet shorter than Khaggoth, but to get them onto the same frame (without making it very large) I have to fudge their heights. Same with the beholder. To make him actual size would mean really large frames, or drawing a really small Castor, or cropping the Beholder so only a small part of him is shown, etc. Shrinking him down a bit seemed the way to go.
And yes, Castor is just lucky when it comes to the creatures he meets (though ironically a rabbit seems to have worst temperament of all the creatures he's faced).

Somehow, I get the feeling that the lich and beholder are more interested in merchandising than murder.

I'd happen to agree.
Speaking of the lich, he still has flesh on him. Do all liches start out like that, AND THEN become the skeletal figures that we know and love (or hate, in some cases)?
