Yes, they are alive but body functions stop. So his body starts to rot.
A linch is immortal so he rots and rots for years and years, untill little flesh is left.
Speaking of the lich, he still has flesh on him. Do all liches start out like that, AND THEN become the skeletal figures that we know and love (or hate, in some cases)?
Depends on whether they moisturize enough.

Mmmm, maybe somebody should start selling lich cream. :D

"Lich Cream! It keeps your flesh from rotting off!"

And I suppose the decomposing material is where the poison known as Lich Dust comes from?

Kayless: Yeah, or maybe get an extensive spa treatment.

@Kayless, any chance that there will be another issue, today? I say this without any desire to push you, what with your hand, and all. :)

The latest issue is up now. And the Sim2 is more to blame for its tardiness than my wrist (though technically it's still Friday here in Alaska). :o

Cute one! Personally, I'm on the side of the beholder and lich. Small business entrepeneurs deserve support whereever they can be found. :D

I don't suppose they ever considered franchises?

Well, Kayless, I suppose there is something in that treasure room that Ganelon was looking for, maybe that thing under the glass on that pedestal?

Funny you should mention that. A string of Monster Brunch restaurants is currently opening in several kingdoms worldwide. :D

That would be consitent with the last artifact (although there's no sign that says "Secret Artifact, Don't Touch," this time around). :p

I thought as much.

You know, since I say that SO MUCH in real life, maybe I should take that as a signature?

Great episode, I hoped Castor would get ahead in the end!

Is that his new sword I see there?

Actually, upon closer examination, the object on the column appears to be some sort of magical socket for the mystical marble, and that the socket may fit on a staff and possibly... augment magical powers. Oh gods...

Yes, looking back on some of those older episodes is really painful now. :o

"Fall, coroporate scum!"? LOL! :D

By the way, we need more daily votes to get DCI back in the top 10.

Whoa. I had no idea that anti-corporate beholder was a worshipper of the Great Mother. Considering my religious beliefs in real life, perhaps I should offer him a position in a new coven. :D

I think it's a different Great Mother (or perhaps the beholder equivalent). I don't know much about her except that my Lords of Darkness book says she's the primary deity of beholders.

Besides, would you really want to have Blinky hawking his cheese at coven meetings? It gets old fast (unless you happen to like beholder cheese). :D
