I would agree that SYM is dying. People like me (spammers) have for the most part all gone. I think we all came here after beating Baldur's Gate 2 and just having some fun. I would guess that alot of the people that played BG2 never bothered to play too many other rpgs. I would fall under that category. I saw most of the old spammers leaving and I left slightly later. Spam wasn't appreciated too much more so that was my ticket to leave, and so have most of the other spammers. SYM slowly progresses towards becoming a core group of people which it is pretty much right now.

Anyway whatever.

I AM GOD!!!!

I think its mostly a combination of everything that has been said, especially the MSN/ICQ being the death of the tavern thread.

Unfortunately enough. :( From my point of view as a regular lurker here for over two years, SYM has been dying....or changing, as some might say.

*shrugs* Party on.

I suppose the funeral service Tam and I conducted for SYM a while back was a disturbing premonition.

Want to be a pallbearer, @Nightmare? :D

Sure, but knowing me, I'd end up dropping the coffin...

Hell, the shock from the fall might cause a sudden breath of life back into SYM.

Sign me up! :D

More than likely...you would lose your grip on the coffin, thereby causing the other pallbearers to stumble, releasing over 500 pounds of lead-lined coffin to the earth with a resounding boom...

Most of you would suffer broken bones from the weight of the coffin smashing into your feet...however, I am sure other complications would arise.

More than likely, the driver of the lead vehicle behind you in the funeral procession (more than likely, someone like BS, who of course would be rip-roaring drunk) would fail to notice the distress of you pallbearers, running all of you over as you cursed and hopped about on your remaining good foot...

It gets worse from here. The occupants of the lead funeral vehicle - probably fable and Buck - would both be laughing so hard they would suffer synchronized cerebral hemorrages, kicking the bucket at roughly the same time you pallbearers did.

All in all, quite a scoop for me, as all I see are dollar signs here. Bring 'em on. :D ;)

I suppose this is necessary, is it not? How ironic, Tam, that the funeral is now an official one.

Nightmare has stepped forth, volunteering his services as a pallbearer. We need five more. ;)

Hell no, I'm not talented at anything. I'm just accomplished at appearing like something I'm not for a time....eventually this wears off, though, and I'm left three sheets to the wind and short a few cards in my deck. The deck keeps getting smaller everytime I do this, too.

Bologney...You are the quintesential artist.

and as far as your deck being small, I happen to know other wise  ;)

However, we have both been three sheets to the wind more than a few times, so I can't argue with that one
