Hey...this is just what I've been looking for. The last therapist I saw was defrocked, so this will do just fine.

Okay...here's one of my host of problems. I notice things. All of the time. On the surface, this would seem harmless and actually desirable, but it truly goes beyond the pale. For example, while sitting in traffic waiting on a signal light to change, I'll notice two birds fighting over a piece of bread on the sidewalk in the distance. Out of the corner of my eye, I'll notice that a pedestrian has a large reddish birthmark under their left eye. It doesn't stop here, though. While all of this is going on, I'm mulling over the last 10 years of my life, re-living all of the uncomfortable experiences during that time. If I'm in the left turning lane of the intersection, I'll also notice that occasionally, my turn signal and the turn signal of the car in front of me flash in syncopation. I'll also notice all of the subtle dents on that car, revealed as the sunlight reflects off of the painted surface of the quarter panels. I might also turn off the car radio in disgust when my favorite classical music station starts broadcasting opera.

All of this, in the span of less than two minutes. Advice, please.
