@Garcia: Well I think that if nobody objects mikeheitz(sp?) will just take up position in the Council of Magi instead.
And whether the others are waiting for information or studying on their own, I do not know :)

I had nothing to do with that.

oO(Which is odd, really... This is too easy; I must watch my back!)

As leader, I approve of my predecessor taking up my former position on the Council of Mages.

oO(Note to self: use Greenstone Amulet when Xandax is near... I'll have none of his mind-reading.)

*smiles pleasantly*

Hey Kids... I am still alive! Just so damn swamped to be on here much, and now with so much other stuff going on (damn terrorists!!! I got a Death Spell around here for them somewhere) I think this is the first time in 4 or 5 days I have been on here.

Xyx, apparently no one thought they could take you on head-to-head. :)
"Think on this, arrogant mageling: even the mightiest archmage has no spells strong enough to let him cheat death. Some take the road of lichdom... a living death. The rest of us find graves, and our dust is no grander than that of the next man. So when next you lord it over some farmer with your fireballs, remember: we all master spells enough to die"

Ithil Sprandorn, Lord Mage of Saskar, said to prisoner wizard Thorstel

Don't worry, Xan. In NWN, we will finally be able to do more than just theorize about whether Wizards kick more a$$ than Sorcerers or not. ;)

If meta-magic makes it in the way it is in PnP, you might be in luck. Otherwise, get a helmet! :D

So, decided on your familiar yet? I'll probably go for the Toad. The other familiars, whilst much cuter, hardly offer anything. An extra Hit Point per level is always good for us frail mages. :)

The toad is drawing - but I also like the weasel with the +2 reflex save.

But the +2 CON bonus from the toad is very nice - I just don't see my character running around with a toad, my familiar is going to be cuter then me, so the toad is .... well, nevermind :D :D

Naa, I'm thinking Toad because of the +2 CON, the weasel because of the +2 reflex or the hawk, because I like that idea.
But the hawk is pretty much out, because it is to obivious and seeing as Argyle is a "not-liking-the-wizards" land, it would be stupid running around with a familiar that is to easy to spot :)

Hey, druids have animal companions too, you know!

Besides, a smart DM would let some NPC´s, like rangers and such, have animal companions to throw people off track.

In any case you could (and probably would) keep your pet hidden most of the time anyway.

As for the hawk, Iread that it is gonna be very useful for reconaisance.(?)

Well reconnasis, is hopefully not the work of wizards :) we have rogues for that :D

I just think the toad would be to much "powergamin" also IIRC the difference between thoese 2 CON points would be (using character-generator) about 20 hp at level 20.
We don't know how NwN will calculate hp, so this is just a guess - also the fortitude save will be affected, but that should not be importent for a wizard, unless you are a fighter/wizard.

I think I'm going with the Weasel, now were did he run off to :D

Yeah, the Toad is Powergamin'(TM), which is exactly why I'm gonna get it. :D

Fortitude saves are almost as important as Reflex saves. They're needed for stuff like Stinky Cloud and poison/disease/other nastiness.

Shame on you, guys; we don't need no stinkin' Rogues to do spywork! We have Divination! Wizard Eye, Clairvoyance, Farsight... And if all else fails, Invisibility. :D

@Xan: So now you're going with a weasel. All the better for me. Weasels, kobolds they're all rodents and i'm a going to eat em up.
*Sound of a fat guy getting ready to eat. *

*the magelings surround thorin, who quickly ducks into the shodows, steals a spell scroll and returns to his kitchen where he raps a kobold and chip into to it*
"kobold and chips! kobold and chips! not in a newspaper, now in a spell scroll!"
