I wish. :p Too much on T.V. and the net for me to do actual work on the comic. It'll probably end up being later than usual. :o
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Okay, the latest issue is finally up. There's a little bit there for everyone (sprites and hand-drawn).

Hmm, I'm not sure... :D :p

Actually, I think it's a good idea - there are scenery-things that you will want to have that will be much easier to use the sprites for, at least so we know what you're talking about...a couple of sprite panels here and there to set the scene should work nicely

I liked either or hand-drawn or sprites. Not a mix...
My vote is in hand-drawn. :)

...wasn't THAT bad...they were worse. They got a lot of coverage here being an Oz band and I would say most of us were heartily sick of Pete Garrett (lead singer) and his skeleton dance and endless whining.

Innovative strip, Kayless..I like both styles, but think I prefer them separate - it's your strip though..

Just testing the waters, guys. ;) I think Friday's issue will be back to completely hand-drawn.

Looking forward to it already, Kayless! **sigh**...still four "sleeps" to go before the next DCI.

Currently number 64 on the comics list. I must say I've had "warmer" invitations to vote than "Come on! It's not going to cripple your fat ass to click the damn icon!"..Image

For some odd reason that line cracks me up. :D

Yeah, it doesnt work so well...I guess its either the sprites or the drawn....one or the other. But it was worth a try :D

Would you prefer, "Come on! It's not going to cripple your boney ass to click the damn icon!" instead? :D

Yep, it was a grand experiment at the very least. And it was easier to establish the ruins with sprites. ;)

I thought it was excellent, Kay! ...Though I still think the sheer brilliant class of the sprites was nr.1.

Geez, hard to be a cartonist these days, huh? :D

Maybe we should create a poll, and poll SYM to figure out sprites or drawn. :D

We can make Kayless' dictatorship a democracy. :D

My vote then would go for deciding to use either 100%, going back and fourth just does not seem engaging........ especially in the same strip..... not sure what doing some whole strips in sprites and some in drwaing though........ just my 2c..... ;)

I was thinking of something "wittier" and "warmer", for example Beatrice (preferably swimsuit) saying something like "Hey, Big Fella, I'd love it if you cast a vote for me" or somesuch (maybe its not wittier, but its certainly warmer) Image

I don't think a poll is really necessary (most like the sketches better). They're a lot small too (file size-wise)

I'm currently working on a hand-drawn "Vote for Us" image that hopefully will be appealing to all.

Yeah, I'd go for hand-drawn, though I really liked the Durnkrag sprite with his big shield...

The crew's battle gear will be returning, now that they're actually going into a dungeon again. So Krag's shield will be appearing in drawn form. ;)

Yep. :D It will be a pic of Khaggoth in a swimsuit. Image
